-Kerlogue is presented in the Int. Meritime Museum of Ireland because it helped 168 members of sinking ships in the Bay of Biscaway which has been a warzone in 1943. In the conflict(s) of the Second World War Ireland bewares itself of loyality and that was the reason why the irish merchant vessel rescued people from both sides. Some other interesting exhibits are Baily Optic, Great Eastern and Naval Display.
But before it was officially used as a museum, it has been a church where the families of those in the seafaring, coastguard and revenue services has been accommodated. After some renovation work the Church was reopened with still some memorabilia of the past. To uphold this museum which is organised by volunteers gets financed by donations of every type.
