You can't miss the Atlantic Canada's largest mural displayed on the exterior of the building.
The museum is open:
Monday - Saturday from 9 am to 4:45 pm
and on Sundays from 12 am to 4:45 pm
After visit in the Southern Newfoundland Seaman's Museum you should go sightseeing in the city center. It's a family friendly city where you can do sports, go for a picnic, enjoy spectacular views and just rest from the city in the bosom of nature.
You should definitely visit Mariner's Memorial:
- a female figure which embodies the virtues and strength of thousands of Newfoundland's women who had to endure the loss of their men
- a water and beach rocks "shoreline" containing the names of the mariners who were lost at sea
