The "Maritime Museum of Ushuaia" in Argentina is located in the building of the former prison. It is based on the collection of naval models and maritime background of the Tierra del Fuego, Islas Malvinas, Georgias Islands and Antarctica.
On the first floor there is the Southern Fauna exhibit, rooms with the richest Atlantic historic and biological heritage.
On the other floor, there are exhibits such as :
- Photo exhibit about the evolution of the town of Ushuaia
- Gold seekers exhibit covering historical and present aspects
- Exhibit showing the southern urban architectural heritage
