USS South Dakota (BB-57) was a battleship in a United States Navy from 1942 to 1947. The best ship of her class - South Dakota, was the third ship of U.S. Navy, and the second ship in the Navy named after the state. It took part in very important sea battles of World War II.
There a few very interesting exhibitions, one of them is MacArthur's Chairs. Former Navy veteran Don Pratt donated two captain's chairs and fore side chairs.
