The mission of the submarine Force Museum is to preserve, collect and interpret the history of United States Naval Submarine Force in order to honor the veterans. Also, it educates naval personnel and the society in the heritage and traditions of the US Submarine Force,as well as its relationship to America’s freedom.
Historic ship NAUTILIUS joined the Submarine Force Museum in 1986 and was opened to the public as the first and finest exhibit of its kind in the world. It provides a visible link between yesterday's Submarine Force and the Submarine's Force of tomorrow.
