Today, the Columbia River Maritime Museum’s reputation for the quality of its exhibits and the scope of its collections makes it one of the finest maritime museums in the nation.
The Mission of the Columbia River Maritime Museum is to preserve and collect historical and cultural material connected with Columbia River. It selects and interprets selected material from the collections for the education and enjoyment of the public.
The museum specializes in collecting and exhibiting maritime artifacts from the Columbia River and the Pacific Northwest It shows exhibit such as 'Crossing the Bart' or 'The First Printed Maps 1472-1700'. It has, also, a variety of educational programs for school groups.
