Bahari Museum

The "Museum Bahari", situated in the northern end of Jakarta in the old Dutch East India Cmpany warehouse, was found to preserve the maritime culture in Indonesia.

The museum exhibits models of fishing boats from most parts of Indonesia, Pinisi schooners of the Bugis people of South Sulawesi as well as modern steemers and stone anchors.

Furthermore a collection of marine biota, the data type and distribution of fish in the waters of Indonesia and a variety of fishing equipment and shipping (navigation tools, anchors, binoculars, a model lighthouse and a variety of ordnance) are on display.
