Contact Us The "Macau Maritime Museum" is situated in the inner harbor just beside the sea and the Temple of Á-Mà,the protector Goddess of the fishermen. Its architectural facade gives the viewer an impression of a stylized vessel.
If you are interested in the maritime history of Macau or in ancient Chinese ship construction methods and overseas exploration, this is a place to visit.
The museum offers exhibitions on "Maritime Ethnology", "Maritime History", "Maritime Technology", as well as an "Aquarium Gallery" with four basins, each representing a different sub-aquatic environment, e.g.: coral reed or riverbed.
They also allow public access to their library, which holds around 2 500 works, not including period publications, on topics such as Portugese and Chinese Maritime History, Maritim Ethnology, History of Macau, Naval Construction and so on.
