Whaling Museum Sandefjord

The Whaling Museum in Sandefjord, a small town in the south of Norway, is the only museum in Europe specialising in whales and the history of whaling.

The original museum building houses animal and bird life exhibits from the Arctic and Antarctic regions, the main attraction being a full size model of a blue whale.

Other highlights are also the "Gaia",a replica of a Viking ship, and the "Southern Actor", a modern whaling ship.
