Cruiser Aurora Museum

The historical ship Aurora has been turned into the "Cruiser Aurora Museum". You can go aboard just a few hundred yards upstream from the Cabin of Peter the Great in St. Petersburg.

It was built here starting in 1897 and took active part in the Russo-Japanes War of 1904-05, Tsusima battle and October Revolution of 1917.

After WWII the ship was restored and used as a free museum and training ship for cadets from the nearby Nakhimov Navy School.
